PIPER HISTORY
Piper Bags was created one day when Piper went into a grocery store with the wrong color eco-friendly bag. Tired of being limited and having to buy new bags for every store, Piper decided to create her own bags that had no limitations and better yet advertised her sense of style instead of the stores she frequented. Her idea was a success and Piper Bags was launched.

Windsor light green -- color of English grass
Pith Helmet khaki -- a staple piece of apparel on excavations
Edith rose pink -- named for the famed French singer; La Vie en Rose
Bath light blue -- named in honor of Jane Austen
All the color name come from places we have traveled to, have studied in art history or feel generate the essence of that location/building. Colors will change over time and colors may vary by dye lot, but i try to keep them as uniform as possible. Remember they are HANDMADE, not machine made, so there will be a flaw or two, but that is what makes them special and fun.
WHY BLACK AND SEPIA INK?
We use black and sepia color inks to keep that vintage, worn and aged look and feel to our ribbons. Occasionally gold and red may be used as accent colors.
WHY THREE YARDS?
Three yards is the standard length of ribbon sold commercially. Three yards wraps a fairly nice-sized package, but if you have a large package or want an elaborate bow, we suggest buying 2 ribbons.
WHY DO YOU MAKE RIBBON?
We have been collecting ribbon for years and years, it still sits on the shelf because now we use our own ribbon. We love the ribbon we collected over the years except it is PAPER or NON-RECYCLED CLOTH and not very eco-friendly, so decided to make our own from found cotton materials. Voila!
