Ru Piper Designs scours flea markets, garage sales, estate sales, second-hand stores, and Grandmothers' attics across the Bay Area, finding and selecting unusual wooden frames, fabrics, lace, linens, and broken/mismatched jewelry along with salvaged chicken wire, to create things of beauty and grace.

By re-using so many materials we are able to continue our mission (which began with the chic, re-usable Piper Bag) of being environmentally aware, ecologically-friendly and still retain a sense of style and taste.

Each Piper Vintage Message Board is unique. They are designed according to the color and style of the frame - they are absolutely one-of-a-kind. Nice, huh?

Please read each board's description carefully to make sure it is the color and size you desire. Custom boards not available at this time.

RU Piper Designs does not contribute to the extinction of the cork tree with our message boards. Instead we use reclaimed corrugated cardboard to mimic a cork-like usage to the boards. We drink capped wine with vigor and a clear conscious, we make our boards in the same way.
