Inspired by summer weekends spent sleeping on the open porch of my Grandmother's house on the lake. Her pillows were wonderful combination of floral and stripes, set at the head of each bed for my cousins and I. At night we laugh in the humid heat and wake up with fresh mosquito bites.

Every time I look at these vintage-inspired ticking pillows, it brings me back to fun times, warm summer nights, roaming through tall grass, sand in my shoes and the smell of zinc oxide.

While my Grandmother's pillows were faded from countless washes, these ticking pillows are made from fresh 100% cottons and are generously portioned so a gentle wash and low tumble dry will keep them bright and a tad slouchy.
